Jesse Markowitz was born in Orange, Ohio into a family of performers. From a young age, Jesse would perform in his living room with all of the pots and pans he could find. He was a young drummer, and he kept with it his entire life. His first theatrical experience was signing up for Playmakers Youth Theater summer camp in first grade. After going through a middle school life crisis and not wanting to go back to a sports camp, his mother reminded him of the fun days spent at Playmakers, and he returned in seventh grade. Ever since that summer, he has never left the theater.
Jesse is a proud graduate of the Kent State University Musical Theater program. Kent State Theater has given Jesse some of his most memorable experiences, and taught him so much about the business.
Outside of Theater, Jesse is a Brother of Alpha Epsilon Pi, the national Jewish Fraternity, acted as a Student Ambassador for his University, sat on a few committees with University officials and was honored with the title of Homecoming King in 2013.
